Abandoning this year's IGF

For those who knew, we've been working furiously to get Ara Fell: First Light ready for this year's IGF (Indie Gaming Festival) competition at the Game Developers' Conference. Unfortunately, despite everyone's hard work, there just isn't any way we can pull that off this year. The game is coming together nicely, but it doesn't have the polish or perfection needed to make the competition, particularly at the grand prize.'

But this will only serve to motivate all of us that much more! Now that we've gotten this out of the way, you can expect to see more updates and more news. Thanks for all your continued support, everyone! We all really appreciate all the nice things everyone has to say about the project!

Unfortunately, no, we've got a little ways to go yet. Such an ambitious project is taking us forever to finish, but hopefully it'll come out well when we're done.

Hey! Blue-Ten told me you're on here - his recent art based on Ara Fell inspired me to download 2k3, but now I'm hopelessly lost/stuck in Blood Forest. I've spent fruitless hours looking for the ruins, but haven't been able to find them at all :slow:

I don't suppose you can help? If there are any available maps besides the in-game one, I haven't been able to find them ^^;

Ahh, let's see... Go to the far northwest corner of Blood Forest and then follow the path to go north. In that little area, go north a bit further... you have to jump up the broken staircase. I think that's right, it may be something else you have to jump over... but anyway, find that and continue north and you'll find the way!
